Since we’ve already established our home, we don’t have much need for traditional gifts. Instead, we would greatly appreciate your support toward our wedding, honeymoon, or our new life together.

Gold Coin
In Turkey, a longstanding and cherished tradition at weddings is the giving of gold coins. This custom, rooted in history, symbolizes prosperity, good fortune, and the community’s support for the newlyweds as they begin their life together. The practice of gifting gold coins dates back centuries and remains an important part of Turkish culture today, especially at celebrations like weddings.

These coins are either pinned to the couple's clothing or collected in a dedicated basket or pouch by a family member or wedding attendant. This symbolic gesture helps the couple start their new journey together with financial and emotional support from their loved ones.

If you’re unfamiliar with this custom or decide to gift something else, don’t worry! While the tradition is meaningful to many, you are welcome to choose a gift that feels right for you. During the celebration, someone will be collecting the coins from the tables, so there’s no need to feel out of place. Your presence and participation in our special day are what matter most to us!

Since we’ve already built our home together, we don’t have much need for traditional material gifts. Instead, if you’d like to offer a gift, we would be incredibly grateful for any contribution toward our wedding, honeymoon, or our future together.
